During the last presidential campaign the Mississippi Freedom Caucus warned of the coming assault on the Constitution by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. We warned voters that if elected and allowed to serve as President and Vice-President of the United States, Biden and Harris would launch an attack on our rights like never seen before.
Now, just four months into their four year term, Joe Biden has left no doubt as to his disdain for our Constitution or his desire to limit the rights and freedoms of every citizen. In a single statement, Joe Biden proved his disregard for the U.S. Constitution earlier this month when he said,
“No amendment to the Constitution is absolute.”
Does the president mean our freedom of religion is not absolute? Will the federal government under his rule decide how, or if, we can even worship? What about our right to peaceably assemble? If that right is not absolute, will government approval be necessary for us to meet with like-minded individuals? Will we be ultimately required to allow government monitors into our meetings to ensure nothing is said that violates Joe and Kamala’s rules?
What does he actually mean when he says our rights are not absolute?
What about our right to “Keep and Bear Arms?” If “shall not be infringed” is not absolute, can Joe and his band of robber-barons decide it doesn’t exist? Is our rights judged only by his desires on what he deems reasonable?
If Kamala can define an assault weapon and then forcibly take it, what else can she decide we shouldn’t own? How much force is she allowed to use in removing that object from our possession? Can she use records of gun sales from our local sporting goods stores as a cause to search homes?
If our rights are not absolute, are we even free at all?
During this year’s legislative session, the Mississippi Freedom Caucus proposed that Mississippi declare ourselves a Sanctuary for the Bill of Rights. Unfortunately the Republican leadership was more concerned with keeping democrats happy, and deemed a simple statement supporting the Bill of Rights as “controversial”, and as result refused to take a stand.
Now just days after the Mississippi legislature adjourned, Joe Biden declares his direct assault on our Bill of Rights.
The inaction of the Mississippi legislature is proof that the citizens of Mississippi cannot depend on politicians to defend their rights. Sadly it is just further proof that elected officials will put their personal gain above the rights and freedoms of the people.
It is time the people take direct action.
Today we ask you to join members of the Mississippi Freedom Caucus in declaring Mississippi a Bill of Rights Sanctuary.
Join us and thousands of your fellow citizens, as we claim our God-given rights to be absolute and complete. We will defend our rights and freedoms. We will fight every attempt to limit and destroy our freedoms, and we will hold any elected official who refuses to stand for our Bill of Rights accountable.
Become a part of the resistance by sending a letter to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, informing them that we will not allow any erosion of our rights and freedoms. Our rights are absolute, inalienable, and complete.
We the citizens of Mississippi will stand, will fight, and we will never give up the freedoms on which our nation was founded.
These rights and freedoms are ABSOLUTE!

President Biden,
The people of Mississippi were watching as you made your statement declaring our rights as NOT absolute. I am appalled at your lack of understanding and concern for our Constitution, our freedoms and our liberty. Some may be willing to sit and watch as you embark on a journey of destruction and terror, but the people of Mississippi will not allow our nation to be destroyed.
The people of Mississippi declare our state a Sanctuary for the Bill of Rights.
- Our freedom is not for sale.
- Our rights are not negotiable.
- Our rights are ABSOLUTE!
There will be no infringement on the rights and freedoms of our citizens.
Consider this a notice of our intended resistance of any executive order you may issue limiting our Constitutional rights and freedoms.
For Freedom,
